LINNIE BROWN

Brown’s mixed media artworks are mappings of place and memory, exploring how social engagement is influenced by the locations in which they occur. By combining remembered shapes (floor plans, city boundaries, etc.) she charts her own personal routes. An Adjunct Professor at Brigham Young University, Brown has an MFA from the University of Utah and a BFA from Brigham Young University.
The Arts and STEM fields (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) share a necessity for undertaking imaginative inquiry of what we perceive as truth and beauty. This exhibition highlights these endeavors in showcasing work that has both cursory and direct symbiotic relationships between the Arts and Sciences.
